The French Microscope orbiter will try to poke a hole in one of Einstein’s most famous theories, which provides the basis for our modern understanding of gravity. A countdown on Sunday was High Purity Titanium Target Manufacturers halted after scientists observed an “anomaly”, the agency said in an earlier statement, while adverse weather conditions had thwarted other attempts. “In space, it is possible to study the relative motion of two bodies in almost perfect and permanent free fall aboard an orbiting satellite, shielded from perturbations encountered on Earth,” said Arianespace, which put the satellite into orbit on Monday. The French space agency CNES has not said when the experiment will be finished. Einstein’s theory suggests that in perfect free-fall, the two objects should move in exactly the same way. Scientists will use the kit to measure how two different pieces of metal, one titanium and the other a platinum-rhodium alloy, behave in orbit. Microscope is orbiting in Earth’s gravitational pull.Einstein’s theory of general relativity is to be put to the test by a newly-launched satellite in an experiment that could upend our understanding of physics. That satellite, along with another launched two years ago, is part of the 3.8-billion-euro. Also aboard the Russian Soyuz rocket launched from French Guiana was an Earth-observation satellite equipped with radar to monitor the planet’s surface to track climate and environmental change and help in disaster relief operations. But if they are shown to behave differently “the principle will be violated: an event that would shake the foundations of physics”, Arianespace added. The principle has been tested before, but according to the French space agency CNES, this experiment will be more exacting than any of its predecessors.3-billion) Copernicus project, which will ultimately boast six orbiters in all.Three previous launches from Arianespace’s Spaceport in French Guiana, an overseas territory that borders Brazil, were delayed by poor weather and technical issues. ادامه مطلب

It has a carbon fibre body structure along with an independent suspension. And needless to say, they a bomb. This car is limited to nine worldwide.7M This two-seater sports car is mid-engined and manufactured and developed in France. In terms of performance, the roadster corresponds to the coupe, but for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, the cabriolet requires 2. Topping out at 420 kmph, the Chiron speeds from 0-60 in a mere 2. This powerhouse is a dream to drive, with fluid steering, seamless handling and enormous power under the hood. It is based on the most powerful GT car that Ferrari currently sells, the F12 Berlinetta. At a whopping price the Lykan HyperSport was the third most expensive car at the time of its production.5 seconds, thanks to an eight litre, 16-cylinder engine pumping out 1,479 horsepower. The main reason for this is the higher weight. The Veneno Roadster has no roof. The car is named after the Monegasque driver Louis Chiron. The brakes are ventilated ceramic composite discs, with a diameter of 380mm each and utilising six-piston aluminium callipers at the front and rear. New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday asked as to how a convicted person be an office-bearer of a political party and select candidates for elections, as it was against the spirit of one of its judgements to ensure "purity" of polls.Senior lawyer Siddharth Luthra, appearing for Updhyay, had said that under the statutory schemes, the poll panel was empowered to register political parties, but it lacked the authority under the RPA to de-register them..The bench said that the "pure question of law" was that following the conviction a politician is barred from electoral politics, and being an office-bearer of a party, he can contest polls through agents. It has sought a direction to declare section 29A of the RPA as "arbitrary, irrational and ultra-vires" to the Constitution and to authorise the poll panel to register and de-register political parties. The bench was hearing a PIL filed by lawyer and BJP leader Ashwini K Upadhyay seeking to restrain convicted people from forming political parties and becoming office-bearers during the period they are disqualified. The plea also claimed that in 2004, the poll panel had proposed amendment to Section 29A, authorising it to issue apt orders regulating the registration or de-registration of political parties. The petition named several top political leaders who have been convicted or have charges framed against them and are holding top political posts and "wielding political power".The apex court was hearing a PIL seeking to restrain convicted persons from forming and holding posts in political parties for the period they are disqualified under the election law.The plea said convicted politicians, who are barred from contesting elections, can still run political parties and hold posts, besides deciding as to who will become a lawmaker. The bench said it was a "huge blow to the purity of the electoral process".The petitioner has also sought a direction to the Election Commission to frame guidelines to decriminalise the electoral system and ensure inner party democracy, as proposed by the National Commission to Review the Working of the Constitution (NCRWC).Additional Solicitor General Pinky Anand, appearing for the Centre, said she would be filing the response to the petition and sought two weeks time, which was allowed."How can a convicted person be an office-bearer of a political party and select candidates to contest elections? This goes against our judgements that corruption in politics is to be ostracised from the purity of elections," a bench comprising Chief Justice Dipak Misra, and Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud said. The top court had on December 1, 2017 sought responses from the Centre and the Election Commission on the PIL and agreed to examine the constitutional validity High Purity Titanium Sheets of= section 29A of the Representation of the People Act (RPA), 1951 (RPA), which deals with the power of the poll panel to register a political party."So, is it that what you cannot do individually, you can do collectively through some of your agents?" the bench asked. It said that there was no problem if convicted people open a school and do some philanthropic activities, but the issue was can such persons contest polls through others by forming a political party. It said the proliferation of political parties has become a major concern as Section 29A of the RP Act allows a small group of people to form a political party by making a very simple declaration."Presently, about 20 per cent of registered political parties contest election and remaining 80 per cent parties create excessive load on electoral system and public money," the plea said. The petition said currently, even a person who has been convicted of heinous crimes like murder, rape, smuggling, money laundering, loot, sedition, or dacoity, can form a political party and become its president or office bearer ادامه مطلب

"Understanding the spatial distribution of chemical features preserved in ancient rocks is key to determining whether or not they were formed by life. "Beyond astrobiology, these new techniques enable exploration of the planet Mars at telescopic to microscopic scales - from a mountain to a grain of sand," said Williford. The Mars Exploration Program with a planned launch in 2020 builds on the success of prior rovers, to make coordinated measurements that could detect signs of ancient life Titanium sponge Factory - or bio-signatures - in their original spatial context."Mars 2020 takes the next natural step in its direct search for evidence of ancient microbial life, focusing measurements to the microbial scale and producing high- resolution maps over similarly postage stamp-sized analytical areas," said Williford, while speaking at the Goldschmidt conference in Paris.NASA's Mars 2020 rover, which will look for signs of past life on the red planet, will use smart X-ray techniques originally developed to find the oldest life on Earth, according to a mission scientist. He said that new scientific methods for searching for the most ancient evidence for life on Earth have led to a leap forward in capabilities for bio-signature detection."Previous missions to Mars have used a relatively broad brush - analysing average chemistry over roughly the size of a postage stamp - to 'follow the water' and seek ancient habitable environments," said the mission's Deputy Project Scientist Ken Williford, from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In addition, the Mars 2020 mission will use the knowledge gained from its scientific exploration to select and collect key samples that could one day be examined in laboratories back on Earth. These techniques, known as "spatially resolved bio- signature analysis" derive from geochemical analysis of early life on Earth.Rather than using "bulk" geochemistry techniques that measure the average composition of a rock, Mars 2020 is developing new capabilities including X-ray fluorescence and Raman spectroscopy to map the elemental, mineral, and organic composition of rocks at high spatial resolution, with analytical spot sizes about the width of a human hair, said Williford. The instruments in development for Mars 2020 have roots in the search for the earliest signs of life on Earth, as well as life in extreme environments - deep underground, or in hydrothermal settings along ocean-floor ridges. The two other sites are located close together on the edge of Isidis Planitia, one of the largest and oldest impact craters in the solar system..He also discussed the three remaining candidate landing sites for the Mars 2020 mission. One site at Columbia Hills in Gusev crater, was visited previously by the Spirit rover and features silica deposits interpreted by some as analogous to hydrothermal springs known to be inhabited on Earth. When these methods have been applied on Earth they have enabled scientists to lower limits of detection or to better understand formerly ambiguous observations. Thirty to forty rock and sediment core samples, each about 15 grammes, will be sealed in titanium tubes and deposited in a safe location on the surface of Mars for possible retrieval by a future mission, said Williford ادامه مطلب

"Current levels of radiation shielding would, at best, modestly decrease the exposure risks," Cucinotta said."Galactic غير مجاز مي باشدmic ray exposure can devastate a cell&Titanium Powder wholesaler39;s nucleus and cause mutations that can result in cancers," Cucinotta said.Astronauts travelling to Mars or other deep space missions # may be at a two-fold higher risk of developing cancer than previously assumed, due to exposure to غير مجاز مي باشدmic rays outside the protection of Earth's magnetic field, a new study warns. In the new findings, a model, where cancer risk arises in bystander cells close to heavily damaged cells, is shown to lead to a two-fold or more increase in cancer risk compared to the conventional risk model for a Mars mission. "Those signals seem to inspire the healthy cells to mutate, thereby causing additional tumours or cancers," he added. The findings, published in the journal Scientific Reports, effectively doubled the cancer risk for a human mission to Mars."Exploring Mars will require missions of 900 days or longer and includes more than one year in deep space where exposures to all energies of galactic غير مجاز مي باشدmic ray heavy ions are unavoidable," said Francis Cucinotta, a researcher at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the US.The findings show a tremendous need for additional studies focused on غير مجاز مي باشدmic ray exposures to tissues that dominate human cancer risks, and that these should begin prior to long-term space missions outside the Earth's geomagnetic sphere. غير مجاز مي باشدmic rays, such as iron and titanium atoms, heavily damage the cells they traverse because of their very high rates of ionisation.. This is based on studies at high doses where all cells are traversed by heavy ions one or more times within much shorter-time periods than will occur during space missions.Conventional risk models used by NASA and others assume DNA damage and mutation are the cause of radiation cancers. Previous studies have shown the health risks from galactic غير مجاز مي باشدmic ray exposure to astronauts include cancer, central nervous system effects, cataracts, circulatory diseases and acute radiation syndromes."We learned the damaged cells send signals to the surrounding, unaffected cells and likely modify the tissues' microenvironments," he said ادامه مطلب

Attorney-general Mukul Rohatgi, when asked about the Sidhu controversy, said there was no provision in the Constituion to disqualify an MLA or minister if he engaged in a private business. The decision was challenged in the AP high court by a petitioner, Vidadala Harinathababu, Guntur district Youth Congress president, seeking NTR’s dismissal as chief minister...Mr Sidhu decision to participate in TV shows to “earn” money is still an area of dispute as it is prohibited by the code of conduct for ministers. Rama Rao decided to act in and direct a film, Brahmarshi Viswamitra, in 1989.Mr Sidhu justified his TV appearances saying he gets an income that gives him the strength to take on corrupt politicians since he does not consider politics as a business. There was no law prohibiting a minister from discharging functions other than as a minister, the court said.. in the interest of general public and to sustain the purity of public life, the holder of such office should not engage himself in any activity which leads directly to personal gain in material terms or which will undermine the dignity of the office”. Parasaran, in his capacity as amicus curiae or friend of the court, had held that “the freedom of a chief minister to engage himself in any activity cannot be denied. Hyderabad: The decision of Punjab sports and culture minister Navjot Singh Sidhu to continue to shoot for his popular TV show has raised questions over whether a minister while discharging his Constitutional office is allowed to undertake other activity that is not directly connected to his duties as minister. He said, “If I do TV I will leave Chandigarh at 3 pm, reach Mumbai at 5 pm, shoot all night and take a 3 am flight and be here at 5 am when no one has even woken up and will be at work by 7 am.This controversy is similar to the one that arose when then AP chief minister N.While dismissing the petition, the division bench headed by Justice Dayal gave out a lengthy verdict, holding that it was for the enforcing authority of the code of conduct for ministers to decide the nature of action in such instances, and not for the high court. The then attorney-general K.” His wife Navjot Kaur supported him and said Mr Sidhu has to run his household and in any case does all his TV work on a Saturday. The court headed by then Chief Justice Yogeswar Dayal held that there was no law restricting a chief minister or a minister from continuing an activity other than that for the post he is holding ادامه مطلب
